Orthodontics- Failure to provide practice advice to control caries/gingivitis and failure to refer for orthodontic advice
Out of Court settlement £4000
Instructions were received to act on behalf of Mrs W in respect of negligent Dental treatment that he had received from her treating dentists in Wolverhampton.
The claim arose from the failure of the Defendant to provide appropriate and/or adequate practical advice in relation to the control of the Claimant’s primary dental disease, (caries and/or gingivitis), and/or failure to refer the Claimant for orthodontic advice and/or treatment in a timely manner.
The claim ultimately turned on the lack of advice given to the Claimant.
Notwithstanding the Defendant’s denial they advanced a global settlement offer of £4000 which was accepted.
